Great win by the Breakers without Penney
The Breakers beat the Melbourne Tigers 79-74,after being down 30-39 at HT.
The second half performance was terrific,after a very disappionting first half.
It will give them confidence,after winning without Penney.
They are now 2-2,but need to win on the road.

Should McCullum be opening or batting at 6 or 7.Tony Blain says he should stay opening.You can listen to him,with Brendan Telfer,on Radio Sport.
Its a tricky one.I can see the merit in both.With Vettori,Elliott,Broome is he really needed at 6 or 7??
Bartlett
You will all be following the NZ 11 on cricketinfo.What no Bartlett to pick.Its just plain crazy.The 3 bowlers would be Hadlee,Motz and Bartlett.I hate the way older players in any sport are treated worse than more recent players.He may have played only 10 tests,but we didnt play alot of tests then and when he did every batsman feared him.Ask the South Africians in 1961/62.Johnh Reid always has said ‘he is the first player I would select in any team’.

Storm to good again
The Storm were just to finals experienced for the Eels.But the Eels contributed to a fast,open game of league.I felt it was up there with the best finals.
Slater had a very good game,but man of the match.Cameron Smith,who handled the ball 95 times, was the key.
The two referee system was at its best.Very little whistle a major factor in the spead of the game.
The TV coverage was awesome,especially with wide lenses going in and out.
And a final word for Daniel Anderson.He has taken a average 08 team,to a new level.And they will be even tougher next year.
