Australia go 4-0 against Pakistan. Its not even worth the figures!!!! But Harris continues to impress, with 9.5-3-19-5.
They also won the U19 final by 25 runs, also beating Pakistan.
Greatbatch is the new NZ coach. A great decision. I’m so pleased to see it stay in NZ.
On Greatbatch:
Some are happy, some not. The Onslow contact I have suggest that neither he nor Wright are good enough to be NZ coach. I’m cautously optimistic about this. The results are what matters and we all know this is Vettori’s team and that will not change regardless of who the coach is. The Bang games will allow Greatbatch to have some time to get used to a more senior role then selector and that’s good timing. Better to choose a guy like Greatbatch who is passionate to the cause and potentially has long term goals then someone who wants results yesterday and is maybe more interested in $$ signs (and the percieved lack off).
On Bang: I see we are thrashing them again. I think people need to realise that been competitive in asia and been competitive in places like England and NZ are still very different things for this still developing side.
