2-0,Bangladesh..what no Vincent!!!

Australia thrashed Pakistan, to go 2-0 up.  Pakistan just seem shell shocked. I really thought they would do well.  Younis Khan just needs more batting time, maybe it was a mistake to bring him in. Aust. 6/267 Watson 69, Pak 127 Yousuf 58 McKay 3/15.

Bangladesh made 233 deciding to bat, Mahmudullah 96no. So sad not to get his 100. One of the most improved players around. India 0/69. Another big score coming??

Oh dear, no Vincent!!!! The NZ ODI and 20/20 teams with out the man. How can they do it?? But I’m pleased to see Ingram in. I see Vettoris bf Hopkins is in..cant be any other reason…And offcourse you read it here months ago, Andrew McKay is in. God I’m good!!!! Hehe!!!! Good to see Franklin back. But oh dear…Oram!!!! Whats he done?? How can he be in ahead of Anderson and Styrus??

So we have Vincent, Whatling, Merchant, Sinclair, Nicol, Young, Styrs, Anderson, Arnel, Mason, Martin. Oh god I would love them to play a warm up game against NZ!!!!

  1. Re: my earlier comments about the team. Haha no Vincent!

That team you have there is pretty good. What is the situation around Myburgh’s availablilty beucase he’s the next best batsmen, at least in first class cricket and he’d be in my 2nd 11.

On other things, shame about the nonselection of Pakistan players for IPL. I’ve said it here before, it’s hard for Pakistan right now. Now Afridi, Umar and Gul miss out because of a) lack of certainty over availablility b) Indo/Pak relations c) security issues. Maybe when the original three year contracts given to the originals runs out things will change.

I’m very happy for Bond. He deserves his salary. This is something for young cricketers to aspire to. The thing is what does this mean for test cricket and international cricket is general. Think of the situation with Vettori and Taylor playing in Aust for a couple of days. Will the Anderson’s, Neesham’s, Van Beek’s and co want to play test cricket or 20-20 tourneys. All the current stars say both but for how long and is that what they really think. Who knows.

I hope you’ve had a good weekend and I hope you and Matt enjoy the Auck v Otago game tomorrow.

  2. Myburgh I’m not sure…
As Iv’e been saying, everyone get off Yousufs back. He has a young team, lacking in big time cricket. The IPL is so sad. Again shows the power India have.
Yes I’m happy for Bond, but is dangerous for NZ, as we don’t have the player no’s. We could soon end up with a very weak Test side, because no one will play Tests.
How can Greatbatch say the ODI is for the future?? McKay 29, Ingram 31….future!!!!! And Vincent is 30….
Vettori says McKay is the fastest bowler in NZ…its crap!!!!! Sinclair say Bennetts and Wagner are…I believe Sinclair!!!!

  3. how many times have i written out the blog because i didnt enter the anti-spam word!

I can’t believe they picked Oram – for both teams! What has this guy done! Most over rated player of all time. So many times he has come out when the match is in the balance and has failed to kick on and win the game for CD. His bowling isnt much to speak of either. Just hopeless.

Sad about styris, he has performed well, the reason the Aces are donig so well.

Make Graham Napier a Kiwi, he kicks ass.

  4. Yaaa!!!!<so good hear from you. Such expert opion!!!!
Yes I total agree with Oram, and now believe Styrus is being punished, by Vettori, for leaving ND.
Napier, Myburgh, Watling, Elliot, Wagner, de Boarder…is there a danger of them taking over, or is it who cares??
Hope you keep the comments coming….
