Pak won the toss and batted, scoring 223. They were 5/59, but lead by Farhat made a reasonable score after it have been a disaster. Farhat batted right thru to score 117no. O’Brien 4/35 and Tuffey 4/52 were again the pick of the bowlers.
NZ are 0/47 after 19ov. McTntosh 31no and Watling 13no. A solid start, lets hope they can go on with it.

Yes I do love cricket stats.
He’s another one. Today’s 225 run partnership between Woodcock and Tugaga was the 2nd highest in NZ first class history for the 9th wicket. Taking 20 wickets is going to be tough for Wellington so maybe only playing for 1st innings.
But can the Black Caps do it. I’m starting to think not. 56 overs of toil for no wickets and slow scoring as slowed the game down and increased the chance of a draw. I’m delighted for Tuffey’s batting but now he and boys need to take 10 wickets. Vettori has proven he is good enough to bat 6. Not sure the right option long term though.
South Africa v England series is going to be a beauty! Thoughts?
Tiger’s taking a break from Golf. Why? I thought he could at least let his clubs do the talking? A: He really must love this women to want to temporarily give up the game B: Wouldn’t be nice to take time off work everytime I had a personal issue or was having trouble with some aspect of my life.

Have you seen Tugaga bowl?? They say he quite quick.
England have a great chance. But I feel South Africa may just have a better attack. And being at home. But this is a good England side, very well lead.
